Scope of the Position

  • As the Business Development Manager for Air Compressors, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building long-term client relationships, and expanding JMG’s market presence across Nigeria.
  • You will focus primarily on promoting Kaeser air compressor solutions to industrial clients, ensuring that every customer receives the best technical and commercial support possible.
  • This position requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and business acumen.
  • You will identify opportunities, manage key accounts, and develop tailored solutions that help clients optimize energy efficiency and operational performance.

Primary Tasks

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and achieve sales targets for Kaeser air compressors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across industrial sectors such as manufacturing, oil and gas, food processing, and construction.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase compressor performance and reliability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with the engineering, service, and marketing teams to deliver customized solutions that meet client needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and progress reports for management review.
  • Represent JMG at trade fairs, exhibitions, and customer events, promoting brand visibility and technical expertise.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or business development, preferably in the air compressor or industrial equipment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Kaeser or other leading air compressor systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close deals in a competitive B2B environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software for managing client data and sales activities.
