Available Career Opportunities
ELICO Foundation is seeking talented professionals in several key areas. If you’re passionate about renewable energy and community development, explore the roles below:
1. Business Development Managers
We’re looking for strategic thinkers who can drive ELICO’s energy access business development agenda across sub-Saharan Africa. The role involves setting business priorities, identifying funding opportunities, and recommending innovative strategies to scale renewable energy programs.
Ideal candidates should have experience in:

Developing and implementing business growth strategies for the energy or development sector.

Securing donor funding, building partnerships, and managing relationships with funding institutions.

Working within sub-Saharan Africa’s energy access market, particularly on off-grid or mini-grid projects.
2. Programme Managers
As a program manager, you’ll oversee donor-funded programs across East Africa. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in multi-country program management, particularly within private sector–driven energy access initiatives.
You’ll be responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating projects that drive sustainable energy access and community resilience. Experience working with international donors and development partners is highly desirable.
3. Technical and Business Advisors
We’re also seeking technical and business advisors who can guide and support micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) involved in renewable energy solutions. Candidates should have strong technical expertise in off-grid energy systems, solar technologies, or energy product innovation.
Your insights will help MSMEs strengthen their operations, improve access to financing, and develop market-ready clean energy products and services.
4. Programme Officers
Program officers play an essential role in ensuring smooth program delivery. We’re looking for individuals with experience in project support, finance administration, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting.
Strong organizational and coordination skills are crucial, as this role involves supporting project implementation across multiple countries and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
