About the Role

Sun King is looking for a Fraud Analyst to join the Corporate Risk team in Tanzania. You will play a critical role in detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud within the EasyBuy Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) product portfolio.

This role requires strong investigative skills, analytical ability, and cross-functional collaboration to safeguard our business and protect customers. By ensuring transparency and reliability, you will help sustain Sun King’s financial inclusion and credit services.

Key Responsibilities for the post of Fraud Analyst Tanzania at Sun King

Fraud Investigation & Case Management

• Lead investigations into fraud-related activities such as tampering, identity theft, impersonation, and online scams.

• Gather evidence, review data, and prepare comprehensive reports for case resolution.

• Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely follow-ups and closure of cases.

Fraud Prevention & Risk Mitigation

• Develop and implement fraud prevention frameworks and controls.

• Design and execute proactive initiatives to reduce risks and recover associated losses.

• Work closely with call center and field teams to track, detect, and escalate fraud cases.

Stakeholder Engagement & Legal Support

• Partner with law enforcement agencies to address fraud-related incidents.

• Represent the company as a witness in legal proceedings, when required.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure risk awareness and compliance.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct fraud awareness training across staff levels.

• Promote a culture of integrity and vigilance within the organization.

Reporting

• Prepare regular reports on fraud trends, incidents, and key risk indicators.

• Escalate critical cases for immediate attention and corrective action.

Candidate Profile

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.

• Professional certification such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) is an added advantage.

Work Experience

• 2–3 years’ experience in fraud detection, risk analysis, or investigations.

• Prior experience in financial services, microfinance, or consumer lending preferred.

• Strong knowledge of fraud schemes, emerging trends, and risk management frameworks.

Skills & Attributes

• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or fraud detection platforms).

• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage cross-functional teams.

• High levels of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.

• Fluency in English (Swahili is an added advantage).
