About the GA People Specialist job
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Manage, coordinate, and facilitate all regional programs.
- Facilitate the learning and development (L&D) process for each program.
- Identify learning needs per program.
- Customize relevant learning materials for the project from current course materials, in conjunction with the Global People Development Team.
- Facilitate training where required.
- Facilitate regular contact sessions with learners to evaluate learning processes.
- Feedback to all stakeholders with regard to learners’ progress as per the agreed deadlines
- Address/facilitate areas of concern as identified during the evaluation process
- Identify risks and escalate where appropriate.
- Engage and manage relationships with the L&D team to ensure adequate resources are available and results can be delivered on time.
Regional Training Needs Analysis
- Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs across different departments and levels within the organization.
- Establish and maintain a training calendar for each respective region for the year.
- Maintain the Foundational Training Framework and the building blocks needed.
Assist in curriculum development and content creation.
- Curriculum Development: Design comprehensive training programs aligned with organisational goals and individual development plans
- Content Creation: Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, and online courses, to support learning objectives
L&D Reporting and Insights
- Ensure the timely submission of regional L&D reports and insights as required.
- Participate in and assist with preparing stakeholder-specific reports tailored to client requirements.
- Measure the effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback surveys, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Manage the organization’s LMS, including course mapping & enrollment, tracking progress, and generating reports.
Effective Project Management
- Manage, monitor, and contribute to various project activities in response to changing needs and requirements.
- Participate and assist in preparations for meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively manage stakeholders’ updates and communication of key project achievements.
- Effectively manage escalation of project tasks to internal stakeholders and/or external third-party suppliers.
Sound up-to-date knowledge of local and international best practice.
- Research key trends globally and scan the industry to discern trends and new thinking that has relevance to the business
- Look for ways to benchmark best practices, measure, and monitor ROI
- Make recommendations for enhancing training strategies and methodologies.
- Leverage the best practices across the Smollan Group.
Regional L&D audits
- Ensure training programs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in areas such as safety, diversity, and ethics.
- Verify training material and ensure alignment with relevant regional needs.
- Ensure alignment with regional legislative skills requirements where applicable, e.g, Health and safety.
- Conduct regional L&D audits according to established timelines.
Effective teamwork and self-management
- Collaborate with functional or business heads, managers, and subject matter experts to ensure training programs meet the needs of both employees and the organization.
- Proactively develop own skills and knowledge of relevant best practice, and ensure appropriate skills and knowledge transfer.
- Actively and consistently maintain high standards of professionalism in all aspects of personal presentation and delivery.
- Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained, including meeting all deadlines.
- Ensure data integrity of all reports to the client and management.
- Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures.
- Plan and priorities, demonstrating ability to manage competing demands
- Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change.
- Demonstrate flexibility in balancing the achievements of one’s own objectives with the ability to understand and respond to organizational needs.
- 1-2 years Proven experience in learning and development, preferably in a corporate/retail environment||Essential / Minimum|0-5 years|
