Key Responsibilities
As a Relationship Officer in the Personal Banking department, you will be responsible for the following:

Business Development

Proactively promote and sell the bank’s liability products to attract low-cost deposits.

Source new current and savings accounts across various market segments.

Generate leads through referrals, walk-ins, cold calls, and personal networks.

Client Engagement and Advisory
-
Understand customer financial needs and recommend tailored banking products.
-
Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and high retention rates.

Provide investment and financial advice to grow the client portfolio.

Marketing and Cross-Selling

Conduct targeted promotions of personal banking products and services.

Cross-sell related products, including secured loans, debit cards, mobile banking, and insurance.

Due Diligence and Compliance

Ensure strict compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and internal bank policies when opening new accounts.

Conduct eligibility screening for credit facilities in line with the latest credit policies.

Prepare accurate and complete loan application documentation.

Monitoring and Reporting

Perform pre- and post-loan monitoring visits to assess client repayment ability.

Achieve weekly and monthly deposit mobilization and loan disbursement targets.

Submit daily and periodic activity reports to the Branch Manager detailing client follow-ups, status updates, and business growth.

Qualifications and Experience Required for Relationship Officer Personal Banking post

Academic Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and client management within a financial institution.

In-depth understanding of the banking industry, including products, services, and regulatory framework.
